 J.Max Baker

Charming. Genial. Honest. Authentic

J.Max is an AEA member known for his ability to play multiple characters within a single production (One Christmas Carol, Stones in his Pockets, Billy Bishop Goes to War). Although classicaly trained, J. Max is a Tenor who is applauded for his rock belt (he is often compared to Journey's Steve Perry). Boyishly charming with a knack for musical comedy, J. Max has performed all over the world from the Sydney Opera House, to Macau, to Japan. He has studied with Red Bull Theater Company and with Broadway legend Patrick Page.

“Baker is a storyteller, plain and simple. He wears each character like a second skin, playing two, three, four people in the same scene naturally, assuming the physicality of the characters with specificity, while still leaving enough room in his interpretation for the audience to exercise their imagination."

"Baker's performance was honestly among some of the best stage work I have ever seen. Portraying well over a dozen characters with lightening-fast physical and vocal changes, Baker pulls all the stops, shifts into high speed and takes the audience with him for the ride."
